Looking For New Trustees

THE TRUST IS LOOKING FOR NEW TRUSTEES to help us improve Fitzrovia for those who live and work here.  We are actively seeking committed and community-minded people to join us on the Fitzrovia Trust management council.

The Fitzrovia Trust is a limited company and an independent charity whose remit is to improve living conditions, provide affordable housing for rent, and manage facilities such as a playground and nursery in Whitfield Street.  The Trust is self-funding through the ownership and management of our commercial property, and we employ Colin Bascom as our General Manager.

We are aiming to diversify our membership and are particularly keen to attract anyone interested in improving our community.  There are four management council meetings a year and occasionally other events or meetings.  Experience in working for charities, the media, architecture, or the law would help us but is by no means essential.  Your knowledge of the area, enthusiasm and commitment are far more important.

All trustees work on a voluntary, unpaid basis.

Please look at our Membership page for further details, then get in touch with us by completing the form.

54 Warren St Flats

54 Warren St Flats

The Trust has bought back the lease on the residential floors, left in a terrible state of repair by Clarion Housing Association, and has converted them into three brand-new flats.

They consist of one two-bedroom and two one-bedroom flats. These will be managed by one of our housing association partners Notting Hill Genesis (NHG).

Via the management agreement with NHG, the flats will be offered to Camden Council to provide affordable housing to people in housing need on Camden’s waiting list.

Sadly, Toks passed away on 23 April 2022.

For 15 years he looked after the playground which we manage on Whitfield Street, and he helped us in many other ways.

He was a joy to work with, and we will miss him enormously.
